The EMI SELMAFON was produced by "Selma" company (Simferopol) as a single experimental model. The synthesizer belongs to the category of "toy EMI", but its potential is considerable - microprocessor control, 6-voice polyphony, 32 keys, one clock generator with frequency dividers, built-in speaker, control buttons for such parameters as "performance", "recording", "playback", "vibrato", "organ", "auto-musician", "drummer", "rhythm selection".

Operating modes:

• Performance - the synthesizer operates as an ordinary polyphonic instrument;
• Vibrato - sound modulation is switched on in addition to performance mode;
• Organ - a monophonic mode with 6 oscillators operating simultaneously;
• Recording - a tune is recorded to the operating memory of device; it may be recognized by the number of its notes;
• Playback - playback of the recorded tune with the possibility of overdubbing;
• Auto-musician - 8 factory preset tunes may be activated by the stroke of any key;
• Rhythm - 8 preset rhythms with various tempos.
